"I'm MELTING..... I'm MELTING....." says the thick ice.

Finally, we here in Ohio, are experiencing a spring thaw. It has been long awaited and we are quite crazy when this happens in Ohio.  We go without our coats, check the barn or garage and look over the blades on the garden plow. It can't get here soon enough for us.  I have a small plot of ground in the city of Mansfield. And though I have spent much time on my flower beds and gardens, this year I pay closer attention to the heighth of plants and fit the flowers in better.  Tomatoes will go up against the back fence of the the garden this year.  I think it will keep the walk ways cleaner. I am putting in a  private garden to the south of the house and have the brick ready to go.  I hope to have a fountain in this private garden and can't wait to see what flowers end up there. I love the fragrance of PURPLE PETUNIA's.  So in any garden where I shall sit and enjoy, I simply must have these fragrant ones enhancing the ambiance of my garden.  You know, we fully understand that it is February and we have quite a bit of winter left. But I think we can make it when we know that the "melt off's" are coming closer together. Until then, I shall brew myself a spot of tea.... and dream of my gardens.
