Early spring a ground hog meandered past the garden storage building. This building is lifted off the ground by several level rocks. The last owner of this property took many of the found bricks and stacked them neatly around the bottom edge of the building to keep stray cats and ground hogs out. In several places the bricks have been removed and thus....the critters have an elaborate home. I believe the only way that I can deride this problem is dig down around the building and put some galvanized fencing around the base and perhaps a half a foot underground, perhaps more. I would be glad to take any suggestions you have.
I thought halfway through the summer.... "Yeah he's gone." But late in August he looked fatter. The garden had grown up the fence and before I detected his presence he gobbled down about 6 of my butternut squash. So, even though I am nice and feed the stray cats....I just do not want anyone swallowing up all my hard work. Help.

ReplyDeleteI did not mean to get rid of this comment. I believe John only said "HI". I was just experimenting. Seems all of this is an experiment to me at this point.
